Liz FordHi, I’m Liz  and I’m your Glow coach for Blyth, Cramlington, Seaton Burn, Seaton Sluice and Whitley Bay.

My classes offer the complete package helping you to become slimmer, fitter, healthier and happier.

I offer a wide range of exercise- including traditional Aerobics, Tabata, Toning, Purestretch, HIIT and Pyramids.

I offer a combination of exercise and a weekly weigh in or exercise only.

My main objective is to help you get fitter and lead a healthier lifestyle having lots of fun on the way. My classes are suitable for everyone from the age of 14 and above, regardless of weight, shape, size or ability.

If you have any worries or concerns about any aspect of becoming a member, then please do not hesitate to get in touch and I will be happy to put your mind at ease.

I am also trained to teach Nordic Walking which is a great way to get your whole body moving and to significantly improve the condition of your muscles, heart and lungs. It will boost your energy levels and help you to ward off medical conditions such as:

  • Heart Disease and Strokes
  • High Blood pressure
  • Diabetes (type 2)
  • Bowel Cancer
  • Osteoporosis and Osteoarthritis
  • Stress and Anxiety
  • Obesity

Pre booking is required if you wish to attend one of my Nordic Walking classes.

It is proven that members are more likely to be committed to losing weight by attending class on a regular basis having already paid for them.

If you don’t want to take advantage of the new member offer or one of the Premier options, you can pay weekly. The class fee is £7.50.

Steph’s Story

I joined Glow on 8th November 2018 after gaining weight and feeling fat, unfit, and unhealthy. I even weighed more than my husband! I had made excuses for too long, “I will start next week”, “I will start after my holidays”, “I won’t start yet because I’m going to a wedding”. The list was endless.

I wanted to get back to feeling good. For so long I had made excuses and blamed my weight on my medication for an under active thyroid. In reality it was an OVER active knife and fork and bad choices.

It was time to stop making excuses and do something about it. I joined the group and was made to feel welcome at the very first class.

From that very session I was focused and determined to achieve my goal. Because of this I have seen fantastic results, In twenty weeks not only have I lost three stone and five pounds but I have lost thirty five and a half inches across my body. I’m not where I want to be yet but I know I will get there, it’s not a daunting thought anymore.

Most importantly I have NOT given up the things I like, I love a pint of lager, a piece of cake, a creme egg and at times fish and chips. I just have them in moderation and I enjoy them so much more. I believe I can have these treats because of the exercise classes.

I attend three classes a week and do a hiit workout every day when I’m not at class. It’s twenty minutes out of your day, the time it takes to make a coffee and sit and drink it ! (The workouts are in a face book group so you can take them anywhere you go) Even better when you can do them on the garden patio.

I have given myself 1,500 calories per day of low fat foods, for me that is sustainable and I never allow myself to get hungry. Believe me, I love my food and it’s easy.

****I feel fantastic**** My fitness has improved massively and I now find myself doing the “harder” option workout. I have met some great people and we have a good laugh, I’m looking forward to a weekend hotel break in November with them all.

I knew the decision was mine and I had to change and I’m so glad I did. And with the classes you are encouraged all the way, everyone is rooting for each other.

Liz is not only a great mentor and inspiration she’s also a lovely person and goes that extra mile to help you achieve your goals. She encourages me all the way. I can now plank for nearly two minutes!
