Hi, I’m Sarah and I’ve been running classes in the North Leeds area for over 15 years. Before that I was a member of my local class and really enjoyed meeting up with everyone each week as well as finding that I was getting fitter, healthier and losing weight too. When my instructor said she was moving out of the area I was delighted to be asked if I’d like to take over the classes and haven’t looked back since!

Each week I run four classes based in Leeds 8, 16 and 17. I’m delighted to say that many of my members have been with me for all my 15 years – and some have been coming for quite a few years before that too! We have a range of ages and fitness levels in class which means that you should feel welcome and happy to come to any of the classes as we are able to cater for any levels of ability and fitness.

Worried about coming on your own?

As a member of my classes you will have the opportunity to get fitter, lose weight if you want to and make new friends along the way who will help and support you. Many members who join find new friends and get together for social and outings outside class too. Remaining as a member of class once you’ve reached your goal weight is the best way to guarantee maintaining the success you’ve achieved.

Not exercised before?

Don’t worry, we have lots of members who have either never exercised before, are returning to exercise after a break, or who think their co-ordination isn’t good enough to join a class. Our classes are designed to get you exercising at the right level for you and we can adapt the moves and offer alternatives that are right for you. You’ll be encouraged to build up your exercise and fitness levels gradually so that you work at a level that’s suitable for you. Although it’s an exercise session it’s designed to be fun: no one gets everything right all the time – not even me!

Am I too young/too old to join?

No, definitely not! My members range in age from their early twenties right through to their mid eighties. It’s never too late to take up exercising and, if my members are anything to go by, it’s certainly not true that you can’t lose weight as you get older – it might just take you a little longer!

Will everyone know what I weigh?

No, our classes are designed to be fun, friendly and welcoming with a great atmosphere. No one is made to feel embarrassed – you’re among people with a similar goal who understand how difficult it can be and are only too willing to offer help and advice if you need it. However, your weigh-in is done discreetly with me, so apart from you and I no one else need ever know how much you weigh.

Community Spirit

We believe in helping local and national causes too and in the past have raised money for St Gemma’s Hospice, Cancer Research UK, Prostate Cancer, Alzheimer's Society, Diabetes UK, NSPCC, Dyslexia Action, RNLI and Wheatfields Hospice. A few years ago we joined forces with some of the other Clubs in the area to raise funds for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance by holding a “Kardy Party” with the fabulous Kardy Laguda and have raised over £4,000 for this great charity.

Class styles

We offer traditional but up to date, fun aerobics – no gimmicks, just exercise that helps you get fitter and Glow with health. However, to add spice to our classes we also mix in a little salsa, some High Intensity Interval Training, Circuits, Toning and Fitness Pilates – and sometimes a little relaxation too!

Classes are flexible though, so you can weigh and work out, just weigh in or just work out – the choice is yours and I look forward to seeing you in class very soon!

Weigh in and exercise £24.50 - 1 class a week or £29.50 for unlimited classes

Exercise only £21.50 - 1 class a week or £25.00 for unlimited classes

Block of four classes (weigh in and exercise) £26.00 or single class £7.00

Exercise class only (no weigh-in) £22.50 or single class £6.00
